At Strong Girls, United Women we work to fulfill the simple idea that all women and girls are valuable. All should live a life of their choosing, free from pain, physical threat, and fear.
The founders of SGUW know from experience, there are two crises facing women and girls in Sierra Leone. One is poverty and the other, health and safety. SGUW uses a multi-pronged approach to address these related issues. We provide sexual and reproductive health education while supporting women to raise crops and build community.
"When girls are educated, their countries become stronger and more prosperous. "
Michelle Obama, First Lady of the United States
