First, a few highlights from SGUW 2019-2022.
200 students have enrolled in the Adolescent Health Classes!
500 students have access to hand washing stations at school!
SGUW distributed 250 meals to the Freetown neighborhood destroyed by fire!
185 family members benefitted from the SGUW/ WECADO rice farming project!
My personal favorite- Zero girls pregnant in SGUW schools at end of school year!
Second, as we look to the next three years, we are planning expansion. This will mean "back office" improvements to our use of tech systems, finance and development. It also means increasing the areas within Sierra Leone where SGUW works and diversification of our programs to include targeting marginalized groups such as, street children, HIV/AIDS outreach and creating more economic opportunities.
In order to get all this work done, we will be expanding our workforce as well and plan to open an official office in the capitol. We look forward to deepening our partnerships and support communities in Salone and the US. Stay connected to all things SGUW through the blog and sign up as a member on the website.
